The cat in this respect was considered as the special prophetic animal, capable to foresee the future. Of behaviour of a cat attentively observed and on certain primacies judged forthcoming events.

According to national beleives, the cat feels every possible vicissitudes - both to good, and to thin. It is said that, observing of behaviour of a cat, it is possible to forecast the weather, arrival of the visitors, approaching illness or fatality. Likely not without reason cats always bound with supernatural, and the cat's eyes named «windows in other world». At Russian people different signs which in many respects intertwine with signs of other people are bound to this liked beast many.


To weather change

    * If the cat sits a back to fire, means will be fast a storm.
    * If the cat washes a muzzle over ears, abundant rains will soon begin.


Fishing

Cats take on fishing that they provided safety and good catch. Fishermen especially prefer a three-flower because they are capable to have a presentiment of storm approach.

Leaving in the sea on fishing to see the sunk cat - a bad sign: it is better to fisherman to come back home, so English seamen consider.

To pour over the cat water

Exists a superstition, eurysynusic in England: if the boy pours over the cat water, it will not live about mature years.

By people it is long since noticed, that the cat is capable to feel approach of illness and the mors, living in the house. Unusual and a little surprising behaviour of a cat testifies to it:
